Beyond here, the lands of the Wyrm of (evilwanderingstirring => Chaos) are, in which the power of the powers are not. --- ## The following comments are all by AA:- 'pella': "beyond": OK 'si': actually = "this" ETYM {si}. The meaning "here" is PE. not Q, as a separate word. Try 'si men' = "this place". 'norer': = "lands": -= 'noori'. Tolkien stopped using '-r' for plurals of nouns in '-e' in the early 1930's or earlier. Or translate as "domain", for which try *'turnor' (stem 'turnoore-') < {tur} = "power" + 'noore' = "power-land, land of power" (singular). 'o': = "of" is a Sindarin word, not Quenya! Use genitive case. 'o' in Quenya means 'together, with' < PE root {wo}. Sindarin/Noldorin word 'o' = "of", and Quenya genitive suffix '-o', and Quenya word 'ho' = "from", and Ilkorin word 'go' = "of", < PE root {gho}. 'leuca': = "snake" here should be genitive "leuco" (= Japanese 'X-no'). 'saur-': used as "evil" by you, actually = "foul-smelling, putrid" ETYM '-ran-': PE root for "wander" '-coire': = "stirring" as "awakening", not a suitable meaning here. "Chaos" < G 'kha(w)os' = "outer space, the Void" > G root 'kha', 'khn' = "gape": try Q. 'Ilmen' = "Space, where the stars are", except that `Leuka Ilmeno' or `Leuka Ilmenya' = "Space Worm" sounds space-travel-story-ish. The modern meaning "disorder" arose from wrong guesses by mediaeval theologians; if "disorder" is meant, try 'ruukinie' < SV 'ruukina' = "disordered", perhaps plus 'et-' = "out of", or 'etya' = "outer" (my formation from 'et'). 'nar': = "are". Quenya isn't Japanese, and there is no need to always put verbs at the ends of sentences or clauses. It should not be between 'yassen' and its antecedent 'noori' (your 'norer'). Also note that Quenya has 2 verbs "be": 'na' = "be temporarily or incidentally", 'ea' = "be forever or by nature", compare Spanish 'estar' and 'ser': so 'nar' may be 'ear' here. (Distinguish from nouns 'nar' = "fire" & 'ear' = "sea".) 'yassen': = "[at | in] which" (locative plural) 'val': = "power" should be 'valya' ETYM {balaa}. 'valar': = "the Powers", should be 'Valaron' genitive plural here. 'una': = "are not": should be two words: 'uu na' or 'uu ea'. There is a Q verb = "not to be" ETYM {ugu, umu}, whose stem form is a bit unclear: it is probably "ua" or "uuma". Note that in Quenya 'AB' without genitive case ending for "A of B" is only valid if 'AB' is one compound word, not two words. Try this ([ | ] marks alternatives):- Pella si men [ear | nar] i-[Et-ruukiniea | Ilmenya] Leuko turnor, yassen valya i-Valaron uu [ea | na].
